So my mom just threw out a bunch of foreign-language VHS tapes (edit: ok so there’s apparently some confusion as to what I mean by this - basically foreign-language TV shows including some daytime/talk shows, game shows, telenovellas and kids’ shows) that I suppose are of cultural value but if nothing else I really don’t just want to see them go into the trash. Would like to know how to get rid of them in exchange for cash and some form of preservation and appreciation - there’s about 200 tapes and I’ll even take a Future Harriet Tubman for the whole shebang (but a Ulysses S. Grant would be better). I’ll take all ideas and offers.

200? That’s a lot of obsolete technology.

Honestly VHS tapes are worthless. If you want to watch a movie, or learn a language there’s plenty of free digital content available. I don’t even own a DVD. Maybe put them under your local Craigslist free section, and hope someone could use them instead of taking up space in the landfill.
